Simple question - Can the ECU in the title be used in VR4???

did it come from another vr4? if so yes,

if not, no

many ecus share the same chip, but aren't interchangeable...

when people on here speak about ecus, 7201/7202/7203

there referring to the chip in the vr4 ecu

Just saw a familiar number on MLR website and started my questioning mind

Ecu from an EVO lancer CANNOT be used in a 6 cylinder car as vr4. Even the ecus from a v6 N/a are questionable because it has a different ignition.

simply evo ecu's only drive 4 injectors and 2 coil packs and vr4's have 6 injector drives and 3 coil packs.
