Where can I find a Rear wheel bearing for my PFL 98 Legnum (I understand they are the same facelift vs non facelift?)

Mitsi Wants $510 + GST just for the bearing and 400 to fit it. Surely that's far too much for one wheel bearing?

On a random note, would now be a good time to get a FL hub and do a brembo swap if i was planning on doing so?

Cheers,
Sam

P.S. Sorry if this is a common question i tried searching.

Hi Sam!

cheaper option would be to buy an Eclipse rear wheel bearing (Eclipse AWD 1995-1999) from the States. Other than that I fear you have to take the Mitsi one.

As for the brembo conversion, you will need FL (post 1998) front hub carriers and ABS sensors. The rears from a PFL will be sufficient for the Brembo setup. Just try the searc function harder. ;)

As stated above why would you not go for the eclipes hubs they are the same as ours.

£100 ish from the USA for 2 front hubs which includes the bearing. It will take a week or two to get shipped over from the states but well worth it. I have just replaced mine and done a brembo upgrade as well.

On the hub carrier front i hope you realise that any Facelift galant or legnum has the same hub carrier not just VR4's

Once you pay for shipping it's about the same price as you pay over here for a Mitsi supplied bearing anyway. And those things aren't light either!

Remember 1 GBP = around $2 NZD.

With shipping to NZ i make it NZ$289 for a pair of front hubs for the brembo convertion.
