I have spotted some Tein HA's on trademe but they seem to have some rust on them and dont look to be in the best condition.

This is the original auction before he cleaned them. You can see considerable rust:

This is the current auction after he cleaned them, oddly enough the reserve was raised $50:

Thoughts?

If you get them, take them to Autolign and get them tested.... The $100 it costs is cheap insurance. :) The cost of a rebuild isnt bad either $250 per shock. :)

The last set we got were in good nick and not cheap, but have since found the one of the damper adjusters doesnt work... :(

I may as well just get a brand new set. Say i get them for $300 + $100 test + most likely each side will need to be rebuilt $250x4. Thats $1400. Think ill buy brand new

Brand new is quite a bit more than $1400 though I think.

I'm not sure, but aren't the super wagons the ones that are NOT damper adjustable? If so, I had a set of them and they were HORRIBLE! It was like sailing on a boat.

Wow, looks like he used a can of degreaser on each shock. Wonder if he found leaks?
