I know the bushes on both lower arms of the galoon are shot so, was wondering if the above are any good or just the usual cr@ppy aftermarket jobs. The ad says they're not the normal rubbish but then again, they wouldn't admit it if they were! I'm just a little worried that they're so cheap & possibly won't last.
Any thoughts chaps? :)

cheers

The straight arms need to be genuine ones. Aftermarket ones are known to fail dangerously.

Just to add an observation that I hsve been using non genuine straight arms on both sides with no ill effect for 10 000km.

And I've been using non-genuine arms for 25,000km on my Legnum... they seem to be fine.

Has anyone done research into if the arms are made for Mitsubishi by an OEM, and who that OEM is?

You will never find that out, that would be industry sensitive information. Even if you did they would not sell to you anyway!

As I understand it, there are several aftermarket manufacturers of these arms. Potentially only one of these manufacturers is incapable of making a ball joint that lasts, but I don;t have the knowledge of who makes good ones and who makes bad ones. Therefore the only sensible course of action for me is to buy genuine items. Maybe some research could help solve the unknowns? I have a feeling that someone in poland or russia has worked out a good aftermarket manufacturer, but don't quote me on that!
