Hi

Do the above shocks fit the VR4 they list all 97-03 Galants for fitment. I like Monroe's and they dont break the bank. Car is running standard ride height.

Thanks

Fitments of front and rear shocks is the same across Galant/Legnum range 97-03, apart from self levelling rear suspension in N/A Galant estate. I've got no experience with Monroe after reading many bad opinions on other forums, KYB Ultra SR (made in Japan) is good choice.

Hsve used these shocks in my previous vr-4 and from memory were made in Europe and were quite firm. That could hsve been due to the previous set of standard KYB having exceeded their service life by some margin.

Have them on a Galant v6 and quite impressed with them. Flat turning, can go in at high speeds. Normal bumps and usual stuff is fine. The car is also fully polybushed so could have added to the handling.

Only problem is the front catches when parking the car.

I've just bought a pair of rear kayaba ultra sr's from Camskill, And i think they were around £122 inc. Haven't fitted them yet, so no feedback. Several people recommended them. Part no for rears is 351030 Andy.
