Don't know about miles but have pushed it to 310k's per $60NZD :) But that's driving around with the red light on for some of it ;)

LOL

Mostly get around 210 to 250 miles from a tank, around 20 to 22 mpg [spirited ;) driving, but not ragging it]. 170 is too low if you're driving easy.

I have been testing mine for two months now and can say that you should be getting about 260 miles from a about 50-55 litres. I have managed a maximum of 290 miles, but 58 litres went into the tank. That sounds about right for a 60 litre tank and I was being really careful.

Nevertheless, I have also managed 180 miles, but I was driving alongside a mates Aston.

so I reckon 250-270 miles should be what you're aiming for, for day to day use.

I have got around 230 miles on a tank taking it easy on Motorway driving

I almost always got the light on at 180 miles. Filling up from there was about 45 litres. (The light was very pessimistic - in my V6 the light doesn't come on until I have used 55 litres!)

Manuals seem to do slightly better than autos (mine was an auto) and obviously the type of day-to-day you do will change the consumption. I used to do 40 miles a day with the engine running for 90 minutes, plus the occaisonal run.

180 is bang on when I have to re-fill as well.... :(

I can leave it til 200, but I just end up worrying too much.
I get about 46-48 litres in at a fill up, thus showing that the gauge does tend to make you worry more than it should. :$

My driving is all short work and round town. :sad3:
I do try to give her a nice long run now and again, when I have money to burn...

Not sure if mine is over-fuelling.... I have always suspected it.... must get it checked out.. :rolleyes5

220-245 normal. 190 if used alot for short runs.

180'ish around town and best around 250 on a motorway run

Wow! You guys get low K's, I get 350km on 45L, so if we extrapolate that for a full tank that's 466km (290miles) per tank around town... and on the highway it's about 550km(340miles). But I do have a manual :)

About 320KMs for 30L. Mine is a manual too. And I run 0.95 bar :)

They all over fuel (run rich) it's the nature of the beast..... ;) stand at the back when its ticking over, you can almost see the neat fuel dripping from the pipe... :sad3: tailpipe is usually black and sooty too.

Those figures aren't too bad though for a VR4. My V6 usually returns about 330 down to 50l when driven (semi) sensibly and I have had it as low as 260 when giving it some welly.

I agree with Col; I get about 270 miles to 50 litres in my GTi - and that's not even a V6 ! :(

I get 180 - 240 depending how I drive mine per tank, and its manual so I dont think that makes much difference. But as I've said before my fuel gauge drops like a stone, from full to 3/4 s about 40mls then another 10mls takes you to 1/2 and at nearly empty I can do 70 mls before the fuel light comes on and stays on. They definitely overfuel vr4's do, but Bonsai boy was telling me at the 'Pod in june that with his "emanage* fitted his mileage had improved hugely! From Reading to Santa Pod on £20 of fuel!!!

The best i had was 245mls .. the worst 130mls and it took 56litres to refill .. at the moment my consumption is bad cos i'm only doin a short run to work about 3 and a half mls .. So it's always on choke .. Went to stevenage today and thought i would see how long it stayed on choke .. You can gauge it with an auto by your revs at a certain speed .. I know at a steady 80 in 5th my needle sits at 2850rpm once warmed up .. When cold it sits at 3150rpm . It took a tad over 9 miles to drop to 2850rpm .. that was all motorway apart from the first mile and a half and i kept it steady at 80mph.. i filled up last night and had done 10mls b4 i left for stevenage. I am now on 141mls and my fuel needle is on 1 digit mark above the quarter line .. mostly travelled at 80 to 90mph .. But with afew blats upto 130mph and 140 mph but only for a couple of miles when the boredom set in ..

Those boredom-relieving blats are where your fuel goes; at anything over 100 I can pretty much WATCH my fuel gauge falling :scared1:

I have done 290miles on a 55litre refil!

I have also done considerably less with much much more expensive fuel!! :lipsrseal

Derek .. I'd never bother sticking in just £20 .. I doubt if you would get off the Petrol Station forecourt without the fuel light coming on ..  :lipsrseal :rolleyes5

I have the 25ST, non turbo and yet I only get around 380km from a tank, but I drive it hard.

Went to Auckland on the weekend, only got a little over 500kms out of the tank, but then again, I was pushing it, and using the tiptronic on the twisties to ring the bejeesus out of it.

what i can sumise from this is that

my car a legnum vr4 t/t

1 some cars drink more fuel than others
is this a jap import thing ?
2 do jap imports drink more fuel

mind you it is better than my old skyline @ 125 to a tank 48ltrs
