I'm trying to help out Unner from Iceland.
Anyone know if an ECU from a '97 auto will fit a 2000 model.
See the link below which may explain.
Thanks'

Yes it should be ok as far as i am aware.
It just means it is not flashable.
And it does not matter if it came fron an auto or a manual they are the same. It is only the gear box ecu that is different.
The only thing that will happen is that the bhp will be down 20 hp as the pfl 260 and fl are 280 in auto box config.

Dave I have 2 ECU's here one piggybacked onto the other.
The top one is 0289, with md340289
The bottom is 1988 withmd761988
Any idea which is the gearbox ECU.
Thanks, Tommie

I also have 2 x mr213 293 control boxes.
They have a single large yellow block connector,
Theres an arrow pointing forward.
Is this a stability control unit ?

Yellow connectors/wiring will be SRS.
