Mitsubishi shrugged off a horrible sales year at SEMA by showing off a pair of concepts that took its Galant and Endeavor and gave them the Ralliart treatment. Ralliart is the Motorsports tag that Mitsu hopes to use to keep buyers in the fold, and the Galant Ralliart concept shows how the theme could work on the company's mid-size four-door. With a 260-hp version of the Galant's 3.8-liter V-6 - the same engine coming on the '06 Eclipse - and a six-speed manual transmission, the Ralliart Galant also rides on 19-inch Racing Hart F10 wheels shod with 245-series Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires. A new exhaust, new suspension braces and roll bars, four-piston Brembo brakes round out the mechanical package, while the deep skirts all around the body are matched up to a tweaked interior with Recaro seats.

Can't get used to that front end, needs a deeper spoiler with a bit more substance. Lights need a complete rethink too

look at the bright side..... its always a good thing when the newer version is completely reworked and looks uglier/nothing like it sprevious incarnations. It means our cars (8g) wont look dated as quickly.....

a bit like the scoobs when they brought out the bug eyed one.... I still recon the one before looks better .....

... wheels shod with 245-series Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires. ...

At least the tyres look good

And I agree Dan_G, I love the 8G shape. Still at least they are trying to fix it.

i think mitsubishi are only trying the 9G on "the rest of the world" and once they all start agreeing that Mitsy have a good selling/looking Galant again :D ,that's when we will start getting them?......

it's not the worst looking, but i agree with chris "nissan premera" comes to mind

Yuk .. It looks so Sceptic Tank .. And its lost it's exclusive look that all the other galants had .. it could be mistaken for anything now .. And where is the aggressive prowess that used to bequeath the galant .. ??

YUCKY!!!!

I hope this is for the US only, I want a new VR-4. Since Mitsi are considering the Colt for the base car to the Evo X, I recon it would be cool to see the Airtek as the next VR-4.
