I've heard someone say it's a torsen diff, but just want to make sure.
If it is a torsen diff, what range of torque splits does it do?

50/50 torque split and I think it is viscous.

I think it becomes 60R/40F under hard accelaration.

well whatever it is it gives you nice sideways action in the wet out of corners... oh yeah so much fun :-D :-D :-D

Not having thought much about this - Is the centre diff inside the 'transfer box' then? (it doesn't seem big enough to contain the planetary gears of a differential unit?).
I must admit the last time I drove on patchy snow I didn't get any more wheelspin from the front than the rear or vice versa (even with the AYC working flat out) - this led me to believe we didn't have a centre diff and all 4 wheels would spin together when the AYC ran out of authority.

Any more ideas?
