boost levels

hello all , new member , nz biggest vr-4 legnum fan ,
i have a turbosmart boost controller , set to 12.4 pound max , i notice you all seem to be running 14 pound/ one bar , i have been told that the boost cut is set by the maf sensor , if so how do i get more than i have and how safe is this level?

12.4 - 13psi is fine. Boost readings can vary depending on the weather and type of CAI/filter u have. Fitting a larger exhaust can also alter the boost level as well.
