Interest Thread (http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?59817-EOI-Universal-Trip-Computer-UKP)

Overview
Since posted thread EOI regarding new product available for our vehicles there was big interest expressed in purchasing such gizzmo toy.
To make sure this product will work in our VR4's I did test one in different settings and cars. Tests revealed few issues we may experience whilst fitting UTCOM. All those issues were sorted and results were posted in EOI thread. Also, there is described mini DIY guideline how to fit UTCOM display in stock clock bay area.
Once tested and proved working I'm happy to open a GB thread for anyone interested in purchase this not expensive but fully packed with interesting features gizzmo toy.

You both need to copy and extend the list just like everybody else has to add you name to it. And specify which colour display you want.

A quick question before i decide on colour. Anyone seen the blue display? I remember there where someone commenting on the black one behind the tinted glass, and said it was a bit poor visibility. And since all my other dash light are blue i was thinking of that one. But i wonder if the visibility will be even worse. Not sure that her colour fits the other blue lights in my car either, and in that case the black one may be just as good. Someone got any opinions?

Visibility is down to stock perspex front panel. Without one is pretty good, it's up to you how would you fit display in a clock panel.

sound like you got yourself a big order, you may find that there will be quite a delay on delivery if you sudenly put an order in for 20 sets all in black screen.
it might be best to put in an order now and then one later to give them a chance to produce the items in the order as i doubt they will have 20 on the shelf ready for dispatch.
just a thought!

swinks
27-10-2011, 11:28 AM
Well, I thought the same Dave, but regarding order of 20ish sets, it shouldn't be a problem, last GB in Polish Mitsubishi forum was 18 and items arrived on time.
As talking about speed up GB. I can't split up order as proposed. Yes, first 10 people will get their UTCOMs early, but it will put at risk remained 7 orders for paying more (in case we won't get another 10).
What we can do to make waiting bit shorter, is to do do arrangement that once we get on list 20 declared purchases I can start to collect funds, and once 1st 10 payments completed I'll place an order, remained will wait with placing order till GB completion list finished. So, those who do quick payment will receive their UTCOMs earlier, and remained will be guaranteed that they UTCOMs will cost minimum price (order 10+).

Hey all, I know I'm a newbie but I'd love to get in on this - it's exactly what I'm looking for for my Galant!
Quick question though - I know you said it would work with N/A Galants, but would it theoretically work with any N/A Mitsubishi engine? I'm thinking about swapping my 4G63 for a 6A12 Mivec from an FTO in the future, and it would be great to know if it would work with both without any major headaches.
Stupid question potentially, because I know it's called a 'Universal' trip computer but I'd love to be sure before I put down my £50. :2thumbsup

Many thanks :D

We have already reach 20 orders of UTCOM. As mentioned before that gives us opportunity to speed up a little GB purchase.
So... as soon I collect first 10 completed payments, I'll place an order of 10 UTCOM's for those first payees. Those who won't pay now due various circumstances, or pay later must wait till Group Buy deadline on 30th November.

Anyway all of you will receive PM with payment details.

Unfortunatelly shipping within UK will cost more. :(
It's now 2.80 GBP... :D

For those from outside UK, please ignore that quote and instead of 2.80 GBP each will get individually quoted international shipping.
Same apply with multiple order.
Anyway, if any doubt please contact with me via PM.
