I'm not a NZ'er and I get it. The guy in the original clip is saying "next minute" but announciates it as "nek minute" and it's just been added into any video where the plot changes abruptly:

I don't get what it is trying to say, I assume there is supposed to be a point that is funny or at least breaks a smile, if so I don't think it is a north west England funny thing?
It is odd how some comedy does not travel across the pond.

Well it does combine two specifically New Zealand pieces of pop-culture, I wouldn't imagine people from overseas would have any idea about it tbh.

I find it appalling that something so abysmal actually came from NZ. Idiocracy is alive an well in the world.
