had a bit of scare today ..took the car in for mot and it failed on fog light not working and a snapped spring..wtf...
it happened on the way to the test place.
anyhow will a normal galant 2.5 spring fit ?

Seems Unlikely

nope. normal galant springs are wider at the base.. The whole shocker will fit (spring and damper) in a vr4shocks place but not the spring alone, the damper has a different spring cup. I've just removed a pair of standard galant springs/dampers (galant) and replaced with vr shocks on the front, i also have a full set of loewred vr4 springs if any use to ya

be careful as there was quite a few spring combos from factory,

there is (if it hasnt worn off) 2 dots of colour on the springs, bout the size of the end of your little finger tip
which indicate spring rate, you will need to get the same one so to not mess up the cars handling

or get a pair of front springs from another vr4, leg or galant.

I believe they will fit

I have a set of fronts in the same situation. One cracked spring, and the other is fine. If you want it for a short term fix, then let me know.

This is becoming more and more common, snapping spring I mean, I would blame hitting sped bumps at too higher speed. It must send a massive jolt into the suspension arms and springs and shocks.
Boooooooooo! To speed bumps.
