Hi all,

Got some bits for sale to fund being able to reflash 7201 and H8/539 ECUs (which will ultimately benefit CVR4 members, so those buying here will be helping the club )

Quad Core Server - £140

This is a server I've slowly assembled over the last few months months to set up as a home file server, however I haven't put it into action because I wanted to install 4 high capacity drives in RAID 6 in it. With the recent flooding in Thailand, hard disk prices have sky-rocketed leaving this impractical, so this barebones server is up for sale to fund the above :)

Please note, this is not your typical gaming rig, it's a server and should only be bought with that in mind. Also, due to the size, this item cannot feasibly be posted for less than £20.

Asus Radeon 5670 1GB Graphics Card - £35

Bought this to fit into the above on impulse, bit of a mistake given it's not compatible, couldn't return it so it's for sale here as new, these are still selling for £70+ so grab a bargain :)

Review can be found here (http://www.techradar.com/reviews/pc-mac/pc-components/graphics-cards/asus-eah5670-1gb-694001/review), packs a mean punch for its targeted price bracket and comes with native DX11 support as well means it'll handle decoding 1080p content meaning stutter-free playback of all sorts of dodgy full HD content :)

Laptop DDR3 RAM 4GB - £15

This is 2 x 2GB sticks of DDR3 RAM for laptops (SODIMM), PC3-8500 spec. Can't say much more than that :)

The only thing I have that can be used in a car pc is a 2.5" 500GB hard disk in this thread (http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?61088-One-of-two-hard-disks).

Bump!

Found out one of the sticks of RAM has given up the ghost, hence it's only got 3GB now, price reduced to £150 to reflect this.

Graphics card now reduced to £40.

Is there any OS on the HDD in the server? Mobo drivers disc included?
Why isn't the Asus graphics card compatible with the server?
Interested in server but, with a USB sound card and possibly graphics card upgrade, it would become a temp desktop/workhorse. I'd want to run win xp on it hence need for original drivers: can't find much useful info on Volari Z9s.

Hi Alan,

There's no OS on it (the hd is blank), nor is there motherboard drivers however most of the important components will be auto-detected by XP or better, the drivers for the graphics chip and ancillaries can be sourced from here (recommend you stick them on a USB thumbdrive prior to starting the install): http://www.supermicro.co.uk/products/motherboard/Xeon3000/3200/X7SBL-LN2.cfm

The graphics card isn't compatible because most graphics cards are PCIe 16x whereas this (being a server motherboard) only has a 8x slot, it's physically different but you can buy an adapter that should work (not 100% sure): http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/250808680912

Hope this helps :)
