Hello,

Any of you guys had problems with rusty rear arches?? I've had mine off the road for a few months bolting nicenew shinny bits to it and finally got round to sorting my surface (or what i thought was) on my arches. When clearing the paint and rust ready for painting i found them to be seriosly rusty and appears to go quite deep (both sides too!!!). :(:(:(

Have any of you had this problem and how tackled? I've toyed with replacing the arches in full or maybe a little drastic and re-shell her.

Cheers,
Paul

I had a rusty arch replaced on a Galant with a donor arch. The job was nearly perfect. No one can tell its been done.

That is the better option i think if you can source a spare arch.

It is common, but I haven't seen many people do anything about it. Replacement arches seems to be the way forwards.
