My '96 VR-4 cat is now spread across the M25 near Leatherhead  and I've started looking for a new one with no joy, as yet. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a new one please or are they like hen's teeth? Maybe a de-cat system is the real answer but do these cause probs at MOT time?? Are there any draw-backs or advantages to a de-cat system and where can I get one at a decent price?

Many thanks in anticipation of numerous knowledgeable replies

The de-cat will give you better performance & best place to fined them is on ebay cause the evo 4 to 6 ones will fit our cars. You will need to put the cat back on for the mot & I'm sure if you put up a WTB thread someone will have one for sale.

Thanks for the speedy reply. Are second hand ones OK then? Just worried that spending around £100 mat result in something that lasts 3 months or so. Is there any way of telling if they're close to collapse?
Cheers

CheersAs Dave said you won't pay £100. £30 to £60 tops & it gets you through an mot then money well spent but get a de-cat as well /yes
