i think you are only allowed to buy one of these aston martin city cars from aston martin if you have a full size aston martin, bought from aston themselves. i don't think you are allowed to buy one new if you buy an aston second hand.

If I understand it correctly, it is a Eurononsense car. All manufacturers are forced to reduce emissions to a certain level, averaged accross the range. Progress has to be made. As Ferrari are Fiat, Lambo are VAG group, etc, they have low emission manufacturers cars to bring emission levels down. As Aston is not, it has no low emission cars. This is their way of showing willing to the pricks in Brussels.

Mitsi do a similar electric thing called an iCar. It only costs £29,000 and has a range of 93 miles. Not 93 mpg but a range of 93 miles and it takes 8 hours to charge it up. Nuts.
