had to change the rears on mine,

and can confirm you can use the on the REAR

Prothane 19-1123 24mm Universal Sway Bar Bushing Kit (for the uprated 24mm Cusco rear sway bar)

Or

Prothane 19-1121 22mm Universal Sway Bar Bushing Kit (for the Standard VR4 Rear sway Bar)

i purchased mine from this EBAY seller.. http://myworld.ebay.com/autowearhouse/
if he has none listed just ask and he will get it in, and had by far the best shipped price (to NZ).

Now.... can anyone confirm what alternatives we can use on the front? as an alternative to stock bushes?

Sorry to bump an old thread but since this might be useful, I've found SPF1451-22K in Superpro urethane bushes that look like they'll fit too. These are 22mm D shaped bushes.

^ saw these still advertised on eBay recently for the VR4

i can confirm that you can use universal 20mm arb bushes for the front anti roll bar.

you remove the cover plate off the original factory rubber bush via 2 bolts. remove the rubber bushes.
fit the universal bush c lamp to the chassis then fit the polly bush round the ARB and bolt the cover plate back on.
it loocks a bit odd but it work great, i have been using this style of mounting for the last year or so.

if you wnat me answerr any questions fire away.

I assume thats for the standard arbs? Any idea size for the cuscos?

cuscos are 2mm bigger so you can use the 22mm universal,
but cusco front sway bars dont ship with new bushes and say just use the stock bush

This is the sort of thing I bought for the standard factory anti roll bar.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pair-20mm-ID-anti-roll-bar-uprated-poly-ARB-antiroll-bushes-universal-brackets-/321326217275?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4ad088f83b

The metal c clap goes into the void where the original rubber bush sat, with the open end face down, so you slide the polly bush up into the clamp and put the original cover plate over the top.

Just to connfirm and agree with carsten above the cusco is 22mm and universal 22mm bushing similar to the one I have link to above should do the job fine.

I was under my car today checkin bushings and decided I need new ARB bushings front and rear. My measurements read 19mm Front and 22mm rear. Is this the standard sizing? I would have imagined that the front would have been bigger?

No the rear bar is thicker, and yes it is counter intuative. but that is how it is setup from the factory.

i think the bars you have are standard.

some upgrade bars 'Selby' people have had fitted are 22mm fron and 24mm rear. but i could be wrong on this. i think the cusco upgrade bars are slightly tiner than the selby ones.

No they are 18mm bushes
Just buy universal bushes of the correct size.
Measure the thickness of your ARBs and buy the bushes that suit.

If you buy universal bushes that come with the metal retaining bracket, on the front you can fit the bracket in the area where the original bush was located, then fit the bush and ARB, and here is the clever bit, fit the original bush retaining bracket over the top of that and bolt in down.
The ARB sits in the same place it did with the original bushes, and you don't have to buy a bush specifically designed for the VR4.
The rear are even easier as it is straight forward bolt on the new bush and bracket.

i think the standard ARBs on the VR4 are 20mm (but 19mm is mentioned above) in the front and 22mm in the rear.

but measure your own to check

I am in the proccess of replacing the front sway bar bushings on my Legnum to stop it sounding like an old sqeaky bed every time it comes to a stop. I just purchased a SuperPro Polyurethane 20mm Front Sway Bar Mount To Chassis Bush Kit SPF1343-20K from ebay which has the correct inner fitment but looks way to small in overall size compared to the original. Its my stupid mistake as It claimed to fit the Galant and I hoped it would also fit the Legnum. It was also only £16 quid compared to the £38 ones claiming to fit a Legnum but I notice have a sway bar fitment of 24" which I know is wrong.
I am temped by the alternative choice described in this thread but the link now shows them as out of stock so I am unsure of which ones to get.
Does anyone have the correct size for the superpro poly bushings so I can reorder the correct ones or help on purchasing the alternative with the c clamp.
Many thanks in advance for any help.

You can buy C clamp mount for the front which look the same as the C mount you buy for the rear. But they look completely wrong for the front, but you fit them back wards so the arch of the C mount goes inside the subframe where the original mount would fit and kind of float there and then you use the original plate to close the flat face of the C mount off. I have had universal C mounts fitted to my legnum for the last 3 years or so and work great.
Give me a shout if you want to see pictures.

As long as the bolt holes are the correct spacing and the bar is the correct width they should be fine.
I can't remember what the measurement are of the standard bar and bolt hole.
But that is the style of mount I have on my front anti roll bar.
