Hi altogether,
i´ve talk with kinugawa about a turbo upgrade for the VR4. Now everyone knows this is a difficult topic. The guys from kinugawa give me one offer:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Turbocharger-Turbo-TD04H-TD4HL-15G-T25-Flange-AR-6cm-Sicon-Xb-2-4L-MT-2004-2005-/120584481167?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c1365298f#ht_4115wt_1106
Is this turbo a good alternative??
Thanks

TD04 Turbos are fine, its the manifolds that will be costly and design intensive as they will need to be bespoke.

Dennis, there is no real plug & play upgrade for the turbos. I'll drop you a PM regarding this.

cheers

Why PM when you can share knowledge with the world?

Trent, he has dropped me a PM re other issues and I explained him what is involved in a Turbo upgrade in german (the info was discussed several times on here but his english is not that good). ;)

Unfortunately, I don't have any news re this... :-/

Ok thanks at all. I see the most problem are still the manifolds. This is really sh**

Not really...
It's either one of:
- manifolds
- turbo exhaust elbows to downpipe.
IIRC, TD04's from GTO/3kGT have the same manifold flange, but still -9B cold side is not a real upgrade, and building hybride with -15T cold intake (not to mention full customization on oil and water lines) is same expensive like adopting TD04 from Scubi with different flanges and have custom made manifolds and elbows.
Anyway it's all down to money and effort how much we want spend.

lol!!! single turbo guys!! stop denying it and jump on board... best part of my setup.. no matter what turbo i want to use now its just a matter of grinding the flange off and welding a new one.. initial cost is abit at the manifold end.. but your only buy one turbo.. works out the same yeh?

you guys talk about lag like its a bad thig?? but you have 2.5L to get it spooling.. more lag = better fuel economy.. good things a worth waiting for.. besides a td06 25g wont take too long to kick in with your extra .5L... im still happy with mine comming on at 4500-5000rpm.

in regards to these turbos shown.. i believe they are of very high quality and will take over a bar of boost on a daily application.. DSR turbos are the same if not abit better.. seen DSR turbos hold 25psi on a drift car for 4 seasons.
