anyone use HIDs in there reverse lights??

was browsing ebay and came across these...

I'm not sure about these.
What about the expected lifetime?
Especially on A/T-vehicles where reverse is located between park and neutral, these HID's will be triggered on every pass of the lever for only a blink of an eye.
The (as expected much) higher start up load also might kill the reverse light switch too! So I'm not convinced yet...

Relays can solve current issues. Could you get a relay with a 1s time delay? That would solve all he problems IMO.

Most time delay relays seem to be off delay, not on delay. But there are on delay relays out there. This one seems excessive but it looks like it would do the job:
