Any chance of a long one to go across the length of the rear window? :)

I am considering having options for sale in the shop, one of which would be a "my other car is a" and a full width sticker is also an option. Whats your thinking Jason, full width for both or just URL, monotone, dual colour?

Ideally, full length to stick to the inside of the window with the same text and font as above to suit installation in both Saloons and Estates, I'm not sure as to colours, would CLUBVR-4 look too tacky?

would it be possible to have a choice of stickers or is it an issue of size of print run? I like the top one - maybe a few shades darker even? It'd stand out better on my paintwork.

Draft plan thus far is to have the default stickers as part of the new member packs, as above. Any additional stickers whether different colour, multi colour or size will be availble for purchase from the club shop

I'm still in discussion with committee and supplier to finalise plan.

Okay, inspiration has been taken from the old school banded stickers you would get on 80s cars :)

I prefer all one colour - either white or silver.

The red VR-4 bit can work, but all examples I have seen have used what appears to be a pure red (#FF0000) rather than the actual shade of slightly darker red that the VR-4 emblem is. Barry can probably tell you the RGB/HTML code! So I think the darker red would be better.

Anyway, it can be used in an alternative way: www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?32590-Club-VR-4-rear-spoiler-vinyl-sticker-for-Legnum-Opinions-Interest-please!

Although I am sure that is actually the only example of that use at present!!

And although not on a VR-4, here is a 600mm long version on a rear screen:

how about the web address in one line - i trimmed it off the current stickers and have it under the rear brake light - a bigger one would look good though.

Let's talk sizes guys.

How large would we consider having the rear sticker? here are some options.

Galant Rear window Top - 100%, 90% 80%?
Galant Rear window Bottom - 100%, 90% 80%?
Legnum Rear Window Top - 100%, 90% 80%?
Legnum Rear Window Bottom - 100%, 90% 80%?

Could someone measure the legnum rear window (top and bottom), from the black edge of the glass (not the rubber seal) - Ill do the Galant in a moment.

BraindG

Galant Sizes done, just need legnum rear window if possible.

I've just measured the inside of my back window along the highest demister line and the lowest demister line between the black edging. They came out at 85 cm and 115cm respectively

If the front/rear screens have dot matrix on them then sometimes stickers Etc wont fully stick for some unknown reason

So just be carefully otherwise you could get the sticker lifting then dirt Ingres?

adamvortex
02-02-2012, 05:05 PM
heat gun steve thats what i do when fitting internal decals over glass dot matrix then rub down hard, as long as the vinyl is cast or else it will shrink and lift.

has anyone got a vector file for the clubs logo?? i have a heat press machine and would like to play around with seat covers, t-shirts etc,if allowed by the club of course!!

Adam, I did have a vector image for just the VR-4 part of the logo, you can find that here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/36481366/VR-4%20Logo%20Path.svg

If you need a vector image of the new logo as a whole using Barrys new font, let me (or him) know :)

excellent. Much to my wife's irritation, i've never grown out of putting stickers on my car - will that actually fit the side skirt or is it to fit the lower half of the door?

And maybe change the URL so it doesn't point to the page demanding money for membership, that might scare off newbies...
