KYB Ultra SR all round, with standard springs.

The difference from replacing 14 year old dampers is like night and day. Potholes, dips, rough surface - nothing seems to faze the setup, it's all taken up well. The ride is smooth, corners can be attacked hard and the car holds on. There is of course some body roll but it is minor and un-noticeable.

The 40mm drop of the Lesjofors springs and Monroe reflex dampers on the Galant v6 does make the driver feel more confident with excellent ability to throw car into turns and stability at high speeds. However, with standard height plus the Ultra's the ride is nowhere as crashy as a lowered car, handling feels effortless and all round is much more pleasant. The car will take corners but my confidence seemed to run out where the car was not even near the limit. With practice i reckon this setup will turn as well as a lowered car and hold its position better in real world road use.
