Hello,

I have the openport 1.3 cable from Limitless Deigns in NZ and Evoscan. Can this cable be used with EcuScan for reading/writing to the ECU? I've tried and after recognising the cable it just fails to connect.

Help very appreciated.

which ecu and did you plug in the white connector ?

I have a 98 facelift so i'm assuming a 7202 (been to lazy to pull out of dash but i will do this weekend). I also did have the white connector plugged in.

7202/7203 I think require a v2.0 cable

give it a try Paul , I'm not 100% sure but I think the 7202 may be do-able with the 1.3 but the 7203 is not do-able

Nope won't work. You need open port 2.0.
Not a total waste as 1.3 gives better logging speed and you can still service AYC but you will not be able to reflash

Thanks folks, i tried again and no connection!!

Does anyone have a open port 2.0 in Scotland that would be willing to take a download of my ecu and maybe a week later a re-write? I am looking to get rid of the fuelcut that my car gets far too often!!

Forgot to add, a case of beer awaits!!!

if your not using your car everyday then take the ecu out , post it down to me and I will reflash it and post it back same day - cover the postage and £25 for doing it and away you go :)

Cheers for the offer John, it is unfortunately my day to day car. I'll have to hope a willing member has a 2.0 in Scotland.

Or borrow another ecu while yours is away. I'll check at the weekend if we have a spare facelift one

gday any one got any modified fuel maps looking at re flashing would like to see some maps to use as guieds or can i send my ecu any where to have it re written for more power and a better tune legnum twin turbo plastic case ecu with 7202 chip
