Whilst trying to locate my voop voop voop source I came across this, is this supposed to do this? It's causing a lot of play on the wheel (if I grab it and wobble left to right) at least I think this is causing play.

Yes and yes. I also ordered the tab washer, you can reuse the old one but mine were a pain to try and flatten out.
Also when I changed the rack ends, because you have to undo them anyway I changed the track rod ends as well, then had the tracking checked.

Alright, cheers Stuart - ill get ordering.

Hopefully this is the cause of my voop voop noise, now I think of it the noise goes away when turning right, returns when going straight or turning left.

Fingers crossed

My rack ends being worn also caused excess tyre wear on the inner edges.

Out of interest how did you deal with the wheel alignment?

I know when doing the ends I use a measuring tape to get the length right, last time I did it it was spot on and didn't need to get my wheels aligned.

I did exactly the same, even placed them side by side and compared the lengths. But after I fitted them the steering pulled to one side so I just nipped down to my local tyre garage and got them to check it.

I tried cheap ones before and they didn't last anywhere near as long as the Camskill ones.

Completely agree with that, but that ones (made by CTR) got very good feedback from pl Galant owners, hence my suggestion.

yes should have ordered 2.
if you can wait a little while, we could do them at the next north west meet, and potentiall have the use of a ramp. which might be handy.
i think should do mine also.
i have recently changed my track rod end ball joints but not the rack ends.

just ordered so of the ctr ones so we will be able to see the difference and maybe see how long they last on my car verses yours barry, as a rough comparison.
