Simple question: Do the 1990 Galant RS versions have the E39A chassis number or are genuine ones E38A?

Just had a search on Google and came across a website with a bit of information. Old old website but it has this... http://www.vr4.co.nz/rsvr4.html

On there it has E38A for the VR4 RS and E39A for the VR4 RS (4WS). Bit harder to tell if it's a legit RS.

EDIT: This seems to have all the info I need! http://www.4gtuner.com/topic/7402-vr4-models-and-specs/

If you have CAPS and the chassis number it'll tell you straight away.

Or chuck the chassis number up on here and one of us will just pull it up for you.

or you have a look at the plate in the engine bay, where it gives some more info about transmission etc. (bulkhead IIRC)

you'll find a code, consisting of 4 letters and a number. this tells you about the classification. :)

E38A - code SNPF4 [VR-4/RS without 4WS]
E39A - code SNPF4 [VR-4/RS with 4WS]
