People on here have used blitz boost controllers in the past and have liked them. Not sure if that is the exact model or not.

Just make sure all the bits come with it. If not contact Blitz as they carry a stock of spare parts and they are not all that expensive. Go for it.

i think karl VR4kaos has the blitz duel solenoid boost controller. Nutter_john fitted it for him as part of his upgrade.

You would probably be better off with this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BLITZ-DUAL-SBC-ELECTRONIC-BOOST-CONTROLLER-SPEC-R-/230752911552?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35b9f200c0 which is the one Karl and I have. Well pleased with it.

i picked up the ebc for a lot cheaper then he wanted and his gf gave me a boost gauge aswell which he wanted £15 extra for so i did well. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for these?

It has 4 wires. Red, White, Black, Blue.

Also came with an overtake button for the dash

thats great alan, thanks very much. The guide i was lookign at in the members area seems to be a dead link. Mine is a single solenoid but any manual would help me set it up correctly cheers.

The single solenoid one will be fine for the VR-4. I know of one that used one for a number of years without issue!

The dual solenoid apparently responds a fair bit quicker, but in a VR-4, I would expect the difference to be barely (or even!) noticeable.

Looking forward to getting it fitted tomorrow then, presume the in on the solenoid is to come from the inlet ic pipe & the out goes to the wastegate?

This is my model of ebc, id say its the oldest version around ha ha but hopefully does the job.

Wiring Red - Switched 12v
Black - Ground
Blue - Solenoid
White - Solenoid

There is also the little blue port on the rear of the ebc, i presume this is a vaccum line? Just put a hose over it and clamp on, or does a slightly smaller hose have to actually go inside it? just i have got a pile of hoses and wiring with the kit.

That blue port looks like its the push a hose in type

cheers, found a little hard plastic piping that clips inside the blue port, dnt fancy having to run a vaccum hose into the cabin but it has to be done :(

i forgot to ask aswell, the red wire on the ebc, would it be a swtiched ignition 12 v or a constant?

Last question, on the rear on the ebc it has a small knob that turns & also a little switch that goes left to right?

alan

the red i believe to be a constant, otherwise not much point in having an on/off switch . as for the little switch at the rear, if its the same as the dual it will be the ac /wg switch(the swithch for actuator to external waste gate setting.) yr going to want the ac setting, im guessing it will have ac and wg on it in little tiny letters but check !

I have no idea about the little knob............... i do expect the odd comment or two though

i thought the red was a switched 12v cause the knobs on front is wat sets the low and high boost and doesnt need a memory then. Yes i sdt the rear button to ac then and gain i didnt touch yet.

alan

you have a power on off button, why would you need another switched supply? cut off all power and you risk loosing yr settings

alan

theres still time to get it in before bed time chop chop

jjayokocha

as i said mine is nt digital its an old analogue one so it cn only bd adusted by turning the knob and wudnt be affected by loss of power

all plumbed in and low boost is set to 0.6 & high is set around 0.9 but is creeping in high boost so maybe gna have to book it in to have the ebc set up correctly
