I have the following lights on the centre console in the Legnum, I'm assuming they're left over from a previous alarm that was fitted, but I'm not sure. Anyone able to shed any light on it ?

they don't seem to do anything at all

Looks like Ayc related possibly? but I don't think so.

they are not factory stock fitting leds for sure.

you could try tracing the wiring from the back of the leds to see where they go.

Not sure if the hole at the top means there was a third green LED that is now missing! If so, then it would seem to be pointing towards being AYC related, with the three green lights mirroring the AYC bars, and the red light perhaps mirroring the red AYC light.

Do they come on at all - particularly at startup?

if it was AYC, it would be a pointless place to put them for the driver to see them, as they are just above the lighter socket.

Well yes, I did see that. Maybe it was for the benefit of passengers?

The proof will be in the pudding, I guess. As long as the pudding involves tracing where the wires go to!

it does look like there should be another green led in the hole above though, and it looks like it will fit as the other leds look like they are fitted in the same way.
yes maybe a show off location for the leds.

I haven't noticed them lighting up at all, will check next time I'm in the car.
I will have that part of the dash out at some point I'm sure, so I'll try to trace the wiring then.

If not AYC related, it could be a car battery voltage meter stripped down, LEDs fitted to the facia and hard-wired to the cigarette lighter socket. Maybe someone fitted it to monitor battery voltage for when using a mains inverter?

I'll get the console out and have a look, all a bit of a mystery at the moment! :)

Could be an idicator to tell the smoker when his flame is ready to light up another one=P

I had a look behind the console and it wasn't connected to anything at all, so I guess I'll never know

I think it looks terrible cut into the center console like that, you should remove them as they aren't connected to anything. If it was my car it would actually bother me enough to look for a relplacememnt console... or you could find a nice way of covering it once the LEDs have been removed.

Yeah it doesn't look good at all, I've put it on my list of things to change

They may have been for a narrowband O2 indication?
