Lacquer on Matt?

I'm just spraying my door frames, is it normal to finish with lacquer on Matt paint?

Finished with Matt layer, no photos though it's to dark, I'll add one tomorrow but here are some of the preparation.

Nope i dont think so Barry. I presume you are talking window frames, if so, you you should have bought satin.
