Performance direct just quoted £1090.00 , that's a bit better.
Now I need a VR4 MWAHhahahhaaaaa.

Unfortunately they're as rare as rocking horse ****, so it may take some time. Do you recon 9k for a 97 is OK ? Don't know the mileage either.

You're lucky I got a quote from Adrian Flux about 2 weeks ago. They wanted 2040 pounds with a 500 pound excess!!

To say I was guteed was an understatement :Cry1:

I do know that A1 Performance up at the AutoParc north of Newcastle currently has a Galant VR4 saloon in stock and they are getting another estate versionin the nest 2 weeks or so.

Not sure on their rep as to their quality though. Failing that you could try one of the following:

www.neweraimports.com
www.car-imports.com

Will wait until I get a pay rise before I take the plunge. Might also be worthwhile waiting until I reach 30 next year

The_boy , yeah I took a look at it but it's sold. there are two coming in on Saturday, you going to have a look. The guy who owns it said that the blue one is actually coming back as it used to be his car, dunno how true that is. But he recons 8995 for them both. I'm going down there to have a squint.:)

The blue one is coming back? Not sure what you mean as both of them were dark blue. ie the estate and the saloon.

I was in there about 2 weeks ago to look at the estate, even though it had been sold I managed to take a look around it. He called me a couple of days later to say they were getting another in about 3 weeks INSERT INTO post VALUES (so this Saturday should be about right)

Mileage was something like 65,000 for a 1997. Wouldn't be suprised if the one coming in is of similar spec.

May have a ganders anyway. Shame they can't get one in silver.

I meant that the blue one coming in on Saturday was the the owners , Del Shoton. He sold it last year and the guy is selling it back to try something else. The green one coming in is and import.

With the demise of VBJ's I would say this is out the window for now, but maybe Barry has other plans ?

I tried Adrian Flux because they advertise on this site. Filled in their web form last Sunday and didn't get a response. Pointless advertising really if you're not going to follow up potential new business

However, since then, I've just had my renewal from The PolicyShop (http://www.policyshop-insurance.co.uk/cgi-bin/PolicyShop.storefront) at £535.50 :D INSERT INTO post VALUES (fully comp, 7 years NCD, £300xs). Oh, decision, decisions ... :)

i received feed back from them within 2 hours.
they sent me an email with a quote number, for a call back..

regarding the selling cars bit, once i get my feet firmly implanted somewhere ill get back on the case, but for the time being... its a no-goer

Adrian Flux took £962 off me INSERT INTO post VALUES (with my wife insured too); I am 31, had an accident in May, but have no points. However, ALL of my modifications are declared.........extra £250! Well worth it though if some *&*^*^ prangs it!

Just wish I had seen the ad on the site a day sooner! would have been 15% better off, ho hum, its only money!

fu*k that ill stick to my thirdy party traders policy :D for £348.00 for the year :D

enigma

Its the nitrous..........it would almost certainly double your premium. Assuming with the other mods it was similar to mine..............£2500 is about right.

That is quite cheap for your traders cover.....but it doesn't cover much!

I feel frankly embarrassed calling them mods after seeing what you have done :D

Just what is at bottom of my posts, the air induction unit and exhaust. I'll slip quietly away......:p

I was with Bell Diresct, they cancelled my policy when I told them I had fitted a dump valve  They then practically laughed at me when I said I also wanted to fit a boost controller!

Before these mods though they were very good and my quote as £700 ish with my wife to drive as well.

Try A-Plan INSERT INTO post VALUES (0845 071 1234) they arranged mine through Chaucer last year, but have just done my renewal through Groupama at £630-00 with NCB protection and including installment fees.
p.s. 38, single, no points/convictions INSERT INTO post VALUES (just lucky!); one claim 4 years ago for a nicked car, live in the sticks!

AdamK
