Hi there mate, where is it in HK? I find it difficult to own cars in HK as most people can't find a place to park it! I have a friend who couldn't get insurance for a FTO (he is 25). How much is insurance over there?

we were in tai po industrial estate. that carpark is for trucks and vans on working days but is usually vacant on sundays. and yes parking is a headache here, especially when you go downtown.

 25 with a fto, right? in insurance terms your friend is "an underage inexperienced driver" looking for insurance for "a dangerous sports coupe"! ive heard insurance premium is expensive in uk too. we are probably less expensive but if your car is categorized 'high hazard' then be prepared to get rejected tens of times before getting one at hk$9k-12k for a third party coverage...

9-12k is cheap for 'inexperienced drive with dangerous coupe' compare to the UK. Here you don't get rejections for a VR4 even if you are 23, just high premium.

My brother used to live in Tseung Kwan O and have to park his car in SaiGon  .
