Getting a bit excited now (although probably not as excited as Nick Mann after he finished Project Hamilton (http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?63304-Nicks-Project-Hamilton)), tomorrow my car goes in for detailing and to have some newly refurbished Enkei Evo 8s fitted /woot

I'm off to see a few friends this weekend and there'll be a mini car meet, I wanted to take the opportunity to show off Raul (http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=579), but given the work it's had done recently, the motorway driving back and forth to the dyno and general commuting to and from work, he's a little "ditched" to say the least. Couple this with the fact the OZ Racing F1 alloys are peeling badly and have a bit of kerb rash, I decided enough was enough.

On Monday I dropped off some Enkei Evo 8 alloys I bought from Mark 4, these weren't in the best of conditions due to prolonged storage both by Mark and their previous owners Atik, few cobwebs, brake dust etc etc. Their paint was also flaking, so I've paid to have them stripped, refurbished and powder-coated Anthracite. Nick recently had his alloys done anthracite and the effect was stunning, so I've taken a leaf out of his book and also gotten a little creative on top (that's a surprise though).

So tomorrow they'll mop the car down, clean it thoroughly, T-cut the occasional blemish, buff, wax and add a protection layer, hopefully restoring it to a better state of glory.

Before the car goes in, I'll take some pics of before and after. I forgot to grab photos of the Enkei Evo 8s but they were on par with this;

Wheels looks great in that colour and you not have to worry to clear them from brake dust every day :dance:, what about 'enkei' stickers??

The company is Crystal Car Care (http://www.facebook.com/pages/CrystalCarCareUK/181678141866772) (facebook link) in the Jewellery Quarter, unfortunately their main website is down at the moment, I'll let them know when I go up at lunchtime so they can get it back online.

They don't deal with paint correction directly but they're pretty well connected and can sort it out. They tend to deal with valeting, mopping, scratch removal, tyre replacement (new and part-worns) and alloy refurbishment.

Great minds think alike. I was trying to buy Marks wheels to change to that colour but he took too long to reply. I was also going to make some red enkei logos & put red alloy tape around the rim to match my calipers :)

The only things I can see I need to sort out now are;

Replace the calipers (some lovely red ones hopefully coming soon courtesy of VR4Kaos)
Lower the car (in particular the front)
Buy new car mats (might treat myself to some embroidered or club ones)

Yeah I was hoping anthracite alloys, red enkei logo and white text would go well, I think it does :)

Couple those with red brembo calipers, I think that'll set the look off perfectly.


One other thing you need is to lower it:) Looking good though./yes

The alloy refurbs were 40 quid per corner and the valet was 80 quid. That said, they haven't done a fantastic job on the valet, they haven't cleaned inside doors (where the hinges are) for example, nor the engine bay. For 80 quid, I was hoping they'd have done those too.

They mentioned AutoGlym in the brochures, I didn't actually ask to be honest, saw the other cars in the shop all immaculate and decided to go with whatever they choose to use :)
