Hi all ,

I need help please , i bought the blitz r-vit DS to display much needed information about the vehicles vital running data in real time. http://www.blitz-uk.co.uk/Product-177.aspx . I ordered the blitz from auction japan . The blitz work with power on and video wire connected to my radio , but i haven't comunication with obd2 and i can't see any values. On the manual i saw that is not compatible with galant/legnum vr4 and evo 4/5/6 and 6.5 but it run good with Evo 7/8/9. before to ask help , i tried to see and compare the obd2 pin with galant vr4 vs evo7 and all pin are the same !!

I don't understand if the pin are the same with galant vs Evo 7/8/9 , why the blitz can't work on galant vr4?

Thank's a lot for helping!

Unfortunately no it's not compatible. This is because the Legnum, Galant VR-4 and Evo 4/5/6s all used the MUT protocol (http://evoecu.logic.net/wiki/MUT_Protocol) to communicate over the commonly-used OBD-II port. The Evo 7/8/9s will most likely have started using a more widely-accepted CANBUS and therefore be supported.
