Quick Question for you all, how easy its it to fit exhaust wrap?
is it a case of simply wrapping your exhaust up like a bandage or is there some sort of adheasive which you apply before the wrap?

Thanks

Dan

No it really, is as simple as...
Just make sure you have a small pot of water.

It actually depends on where your wrapping?

Flex's?
If it is got for either, 1664 tin and metal cable ties, or HOLTS stuff
Anywhere else holts or alternative and putty or stell replacement from HOLTS again

wrapping is easyish.......

I've wrapped the beemer manifolds, so what you need is some decent wrap (there are some inexpensive ones on ebay), lockwire, and some high temp silicone spray to seal it. I used 2" wrap and so you then overlap 1/4" when doing it. I think I spent something like 130ish for the wrap and the spray. Do not use the metal cableties that you can get thrown in with some of the wrap deals, lockwire is a lot better and makes life easier.

just thought i would let you know, when wrapped my exhaust, the area of the downpipes took lust short of 20m of 2" wrap to cover it. but did a 50% overlap, so i had effectively 2 lavers of wrap all the allong the entire down pipes. that includes wrapping the felx sections.

i used the 2mm thick stuff as well.

im getting the feeling the 10 metres of 2" wrap i spotted on fleebay wont be enough haha,
