Some parts are just not worth getting second hand, the O2 sensor is one of those. It is very difficult to tell if it is buggered and the results can be costly in terms of fuel usage.

can you guys suggest one that i can use please, like a part number? or something...i call mitsubishi and they want 492 dollars for one..day light robbery :O...and how do i use the wide band one guys? is it plug and play? thank heaps guys

A 4-wire one from a Magna will fit IIRC. The widebands are slightly more complicated than plug and play, but not by much. Check out the prices of an Innovate LC-1, or if you want the gauge, the MTX-L.

sorry but could you maybe give me some part numbers for a magna one please that fits...ive been told that its a 700ohm one thats all i know :(...the numbers on the side of the o2 sensor off the magna fit will be a great help bud :)

Have a quick search on here and OzVR4 - unfortunately I don't have the part numbers anywhere near me right now because I swapped out to a wideband.
