hi and welcome to the club

thet look like a very clean dyno setup.
VR4 respond very well to a boost increase, what boost pressure did you go from and to?
did you get any knock when the dyno runs were being done?
do have any other mods to go with the intercooler and boost control?

sorry for all the question but it is a good result 53bhp increase
i presume you had it dynoed before and after the mods.

hmm, i notice your pictures are very similar to that of Project Snooze, done by HPImports Magazine many years ago

seems fishy, just saying

Hey mate!
Phone number is New South Wales, because this car in NSW
Also this car was rent to HDi to do this project, that why the dyno picture mentioned HDi intercooler, HDi maxrom and HDi boost controller
If anybody suspect of above photo what i released, you can try to contact tech@hybrid-power.com
I dam sure, tunehouse don't have above photos 1-7

/Welcome

The suspicions appear to have been roused because of the manner of your post. It looks as if you have only just purchased the intercooler and had it fitted, but it appears that the car in the article is the same car, but all this work was carried out four years ago? Have you had the car all that time?

they didn't release this magazine detail http://www2.hybrid-power.com/vr4/vr4.html

Not suspicious of the car and the outcome, as it seems pretty clear what has occurred!

Just interested in your ownership of the car and the explanation of the four year timescale? It would be nice to clear that up as that is what looks a bit odd at the moment, especially as the way you wrote your first post made it look as if you've only just had the work done. :)

HDI stuff looks good, how about a club discount in exchange for the free ad.

When I saw the thread title I initially wondered why someone would fit a Citroën diesel intercooler to their car :p (This isn't a dig at the OP, just an observation).

I'm modifying my car and I've posted up some info on it straight away. Don't think I could've waited four years to show my findings, let alone become a member four years after I bought the car.
Not trying to get at anything, just saying.

Hmmmm....... /Hmmm

Sorry to say this to you lads but bull****.... vr4 doesnt require a HDI cooler. An ebay model will do just fine... And was that 40kW gain from wheels. So from engine you'd be having much more. I dont know what part is hard piping acting but cooler and full exhaust will you give you about the max performance with these things.... Around 320-330 bhp when tuned to the right ignition advance...... The turboes are generating lots of heat and biggest of all lots of exhaust pressure which cannot be helped anymore with expensive coolers. So a cheap aftermarket one will do just fine :) Sorry again .... ! :D

What is the size of that pipe coming With this kit, i just bought this intercooler and using swinks DIY "hard-pipe" link to complete that Y-pipe side. But the size on that pipe doesnt say in the ad? Is it 51mm? (2") Help :)

The pics are the same as the captin snooze ones. If you look at the pics on here with the guy at the wheel machine the look at the wires / pipes on the floor near the back wheel then look in artical there in the same place. Cant see how they would get them exactly the same years apart. Im so confused
