A story guaranteed to make readers wince...
Pensioner Joyce Edwards was woken recently by a crashing sound from her bathroom.
When she went to investigate she found a burglar with his testicles impaled on the window, which he had smashed breaking in.
When the man screamed to her that he was dying, the formidable eighty-year-old simply replied, 'Good!'
The thief reportedly slipped after trapping his head while opening the small top window at Mrs Edwards home in Crowthorne, Berkshire, and crashed through the frosted glass, where the OAP found him dangling on shards of glass in his groin.
Mrs Edwards, whose 90-year-old husband Leslie is deaf, ran out of the house and alerted neighbours who called the police and an ambulance, according to The Sun.
The man is believed to have lost around four pints of blood. Medics at the hospital refused to reveal whether he had lost either of his testicles.
A 35-year-old man from Finchampstead, Berkshire, has been arrested and charged.
