We'll I got fed up of the peeling lacquer and stone chips on my bonnet and roof. So I decided to do something about it finally, rather than a replay I thought I would try matte black vinyl wrapping, so far I've done the bonnet and roof. It looks a lot better on the flesh and it's really growing on me!

I know it's not going to be to everyone's taste, but you can't please everyone!

Looks good. Suits a dark coloured car, avoiding the taxi look! :)

Not quite my taste on the blue car, but it looks like a very good finish, and as you say it grows on you so maybe I will come round to your way of thinking.

Maybe if the wheels were a matt black and possibly the rubbing strips on the doors and wing mirror back, I am liking the idea more I think of it.
Nice concept

My Galant is the same shade of blue. I was wondering if it would look good with a different color roof and wing mirrors.

Not flat black for me, maybe piano black?

Hmmmmmmm

How hard was it to do? I've been thinking about this to cover my new bodykit and do the rest of the car at the same time.

It wasn't the easiest thing in the world. The bonnet took 2 of us about 3hrs. I did the roof in about 3 hrs as well. It's not the sort of thing you could rush.
If you are going to do it I would suggest a decent hair drier or a hot air gun, and only try peel off 2 to 3 inches at a time!

Seems like you've done it properly, but it's not something I like. Then again, the whole 'mat finish'-look is completely beyond me.

Looks a good job :) My shogun will be getting fully wrapped at some point although when I rebuild the Super it will be a gloss finish.

I can see the merits of both but I do like a well wrapped Car.

Cheers
