Now for sale

OK
My new car has a nice set of 17" TSW's, the guy i brought it off of had a garage full (ok 9 in total) of the 17" sport wheels. He offerd them to me, i took the best 5 of them. They all look straight and not scuffed. The reason he fitted the TSW's was he lost confidence in the std ones, two of the damaged wheels in his garage literally had the rims hanging off!

I do not really have the space for them in the gargae so, Is there a demand for the std items and if so whats the going rate.

I can understand why the original owner has gone off them, the standard alloys seem to buckle very easily (especially when you've got a wife who can't drive properly!).

I may be interested in either some or all depending on price, and I could probably come and collect. My e-mail is phil.senior@rbs.co.uk..

Hi Phil
I'll take a piccie and post it on here over the weekend (if i get a chance) just to check these are the right ones, they look the same as i have seen on other Sports.

As regards price i will email you to discuss if you are interested in them. I really do not have a clue as to value.

IIRC Mitsy want about £150 for new ones. (Each!)

I provisionally sold a set of 1 excellent 1 good and 2 very poor condition for £100, but nothing ever came of it. I gave them away with the car when I sold it on.

I bought 4 almost identical brand new wheels for £300. A search will reveal my thread about that.

Hope that this helps without seeming like I am interfering!

Thanks Nick, that helps. I appreciate the advice and thats not what i would call interfering in any way shape or form. :)

Cheers, pics would be good... I'm still tempted with buying the mitsi wheel and tyre package, about £180 - 190 each I think and good value in my opinion, but replacing the two buckeld wheels I have and have a spare or two is very tempting!
