I've wondered about that as well. Also there are these ones http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/mitsubishi/engines/auction-517764508.htm

I've got a set of the vr4 ones, but haven't run them yet. Adam has I think.

yeah i have the exact same ones (although if memory serves i bought them from a different trademe user)
they work fine even with the increased clearances of the cam grind. jeremy at evo parts rates them too which is why i decided on them.
Yay... I see some lifter changes in the future :)

It's probably worth mentioning that the new ones WILL make a lot of noise for a start.

yes my car sounder like the charriot from hell on first startup. until the air bled out.
i prefer not to bleed the lifters manually as if you overfill them they could hold a valve open

That's a very good point.
So how long until they quieten down more or less? Scott, are you going to be doing anything with your set of lifters?

Yeah, I'm putting a VR4 engine back together for mine with new seals etc and the cams. I have some ported heads that only need a wee bit more work on them though that I could sell ;)
