Don't know if this will make any difference but the back is slightly smaller than the front's?

Also I've got some if needed?

if your switch doesn't work very well get some brake/carb cleaner and spray it in the sliding mechanisum while actuating the switch this should clean it up nicley.

Hmm, Im guessing their different part numbers then

New ones or used?
Mine are all working, I had have the alarm re-certed after changing insurance companies (dont ask, bloody nightmare) and the fitter noted that one of the back switches was a little iffy, he cleaned it and its working OK now but after checking all 4 recommended replacing them if they were cheap enough

I might try that but @ <£25 for all 4 I thought I'd just change the lot

i had a problem with my interior lights not working properly when i opened the doors. swapping plungers from the V6 solved it. remove them, spray with lubricant (WD40 etc) and squeeze the plunger a few times to get the lube inside and then refit. piece of cake to do and giving them a wee skoosh every 6 months keeps them working good as gold and it is a 5 minute job. 1 screw and pull them out gently so you dont damage the wire (some are longer than others), remove the rubber cover and either disconnect or just spray while connected. push the plunger a few times then put back in
