Help Identify This Model 3000gt

Howdy, Im new to this site as I am about to purchase a supposedly 1999 model 3000GT, but after having a look a few pictures of 99 models it appears to be more like a 96 with after market wheels???

If someone has swapped the plates from a written off vehicle or something before the vehicle was privately imported is there any way to tell for sure what year it is???

Unfortunately, this may not be the place for you. The VR4's on this site are almost all 8th generation galants, not the 3000GT's. There may be someone here who has expertise in the car you are looking at, but most of us don't have!
