well my leathers are gone and half the new seats are in :)

was a bit of dicking around as the runners were universal so a grinder and some 6mm flat bar soon fixed the problem.

will get better pics tomorrow when the sun is out! as if thats gonna happen :)

just got to modify the 200sx rear bench to make it fit now.

ay, they go well with standard interior, very nice!

what are your gizmos in the center?

The two knobs in the center are bass controllers, yeah they do match quite well. The brides have also given me a lot more room to build my speaker builds as well.

Can you put up some pics of what you did with the seat rails? I'm curious as to exactly how you sorted it. I had similar issue when trying to get my old Audi seats fitted.

I'll get some tomorrow, but to put it in words I got some 30mm*6mm steel bar from B&Q and got my grinder out :)

I realised the runners would not go wide enough to mount to the original points, so job one was cutting two lengths, which bolted across connecting the the two front holes and two rear holes. I then placed the seat back in and marked the two front mounting points on the bar and drilled two holes.

Frustratingly, the rear mounting points wouldn't reach the rear bar so, seat out again. Two more bars cut this time spanning front to back from the two mounting holes Id just drilled to the rear bar, running parallel. Seat back in, mark rear fixing points, drill holes, and now bolt everything together!

Hope that all makes sense. I get some pics tomorrow

Like those Darren. Sounds like you have them mounted securely too.

ok heres some better pics, i think the passenger one is sitting slightly twisted but that can wait till next year :)

a couple of shots of the front, they look the nuts from the front but until i clean the window i cant get the money shot that shows the brides thru the glass lol a few of what i did to get them mounted and some of the rears.

there a bit manky but i took them out the shed and wiped with a cloth! they should come up semi decent, but will want the centers trimmed with bride anyway so will tidy them up later in the year. as you can see the base mounts will just need two studs/bolts coming out the floor, which im hoping to be able to get too by dropping the fuel tank, and the back piece amazingly the clip parts seem to line up perfectly with our original mounts!! result. will need to trim the metal on either side slightly, but looks like i can retain the clip for the side bolsters, which will just need shaving slightly to get em back in. then extend the carpet and the rear bench should look pretty oem.

Lol, just text you back Rikki! To much drinking and dicking around with cars in the rain over the last few days.

Cheers tho guys, its getting there, but will have to wait till another free weekend to get the rear in properly, anyone know how easily the fuel tank drops down so I can get two bolts in?

fronts look very well ,but why are you fitting the rear bench from a 200 sx?

Pugme
01-01-2013, 02:40 PM
Its something a little different, and I like the fact the rears are bucketed now to match the fronts, I rarely have people in the back, and its one of them mods that if I can pull it off right, It will go partially unnoticed except by those with a good eye :-)

fair enough ,would you retrim them in the bride material to match the fronts?

Pugme
01-01-2013, 03:00 PM
Yeah, I think I want all the centers done in the red bride material, but I'm unsure.

My housemate gave me the rear bench for nothing, I'm actually thinking it would be nice trimmed in material and bride centers.

Shouldn't the drivers seat read "Groom" Darren

lol bill, even im not silly enough to do that!

got up early this morning as i had a busy day of crap to do, with a grinder, a hammer, a drill and some sockets, the rear bench is now properly fitted and clipped in. just need to keep an eye on the breakers on here as i need a seat beat buckle and the two bolsters that go down the side of the back panel to molest them to fit :)

part deux

really happy with them, i think ive mentioned elsewhere i have adapted a 200sx rear bench into the legnum, it still needs tweaking about a bit, but B-trim in enfield did a top notch job on them.
