Headlight bulb trouble

Hi all, I replaced my blown front passenger side headlight bulb a month ago (without too much trouble) and I noticed on Friday that it's gone again!? This is a similar problem to my interior bulb which lasted approx. 4 days! Is this a common problem and can anyone advise me on the cause/solution?

dunno if its a 'common' problem or not but the contacts might be dirty/corroded? try giving them all a good clean up & see if its any better :)

Is any moisture getting in? I have a similar problem with one of my foggs

Thanks Mike/Marc, it might be either of those reasons but for some reason they both worked this morning! Will have to monitor them and give them a clean at the weekend and then seal the connections with vaseline.

The headlight bulb fits into a bulb holder, IIRC. Often the connections are bad on one side of the holder or the other - maybe the bulb into the holder or the holder into the loom. I'd agree that the first thing to look at is all the connections, you'll probably find they are corroded and no longer a good tight fit.
