You want the weight of the gear knob?

yes, gear knobs are weighted to improve feel

the heavier the knob the easier the throw,
lighten it up and it can stiffen/slow down movement.

the shift in my vr4 is quite heavy, due to a short shift kit and light gear shifter,
want to improve it by adding a heavier and slightly taller gear knob

I happen to have a V6 leather manual gearknob in the garage which I will weigh tonight (if I don't forget). It's quite heavy I think.

Ah, weighed at work: 365.4g without the leather wrapping - so maybe round up to 400g?

OMG, im really surprise that this playing such a big role, since my manual conv I always use ralliart 'ball' knob and find out that gear changes are a bit stiff, but never, ever, expect that this could be by not heavy enough gear knob used, well live and learn, thanks Carsten
