What colour would you think would look best? The car is white

The car

I was thinking gunmetal grey or maybe blue, Maybe this kind of blue :)

Won't do silver or black and probably not white

Any ideas?????

Bender

Yeah i don't like silver as pretty every mags are silver and don't like black, Not fan of chrome. But Bronze is colour I will look at... Or maybe gold.

Cheers guys :)

Do you think at around $100 pre mag to be painted a fair price? That is incl remove all the curbing, sanding and painting the face and inside of mags.

i recently paid ~500 to get my evo 6.5 rims reconed and repainted. so 100 per rim is good

I've just had a set done in dark metallic grey. I'd love shadow chrome, but it is a tad expensive!

Yep, they are currently wearing Toyo Snowprox, 235/45/17. They only went on a week or so ago, I haven't had a chance to get picks yet, but I'll try soon.

Maybe red since you have some red touches around the car already.
Topped with some red striping down te side would look pretty sweet IMO. :)

did you fit the super stuff to your car of buy it like that. i don't believe they didn't come out of the factory in white as a super. i don't think the side skirts are from a super though.

but i digress from the matter in hand, brozney gold would look nice on a white car but you would have to get rid of all the red bits, wipers, calipers, hubs, etc, i just don't think it would go.

it has been done before with the strip done the side coming up and over the wing but did not go across the bonnet, i have a picture at home, it is on here somewhere i will try and find it.

the bronze/gold on the white legnum looks nice esp classic BBS LM/split rim style or like these rays which have two extra double spoke to your enkeis

loox like a good shade of grey esp with the rim highlight... Am not a fan of when the actual tyres are a lighter shade of grey than the actual wheels themselves...

I think I might just be weird, but I like black. Anything dark would do though.

I know what you mean. I have to tyre black my tyres to make sure they don't look daft!

Having said that, I haven't here, but I have only just washed the car and the tyres are still a bit wet.

Hope this helps:

Thanks! Not OT at all, I don't think? The original question is what colour to refurb evo 9 rims - these are my evo 9 rims refurbed in dark metallic grey.

Well then I say gunmetal for sure! With silver being a close second.

Perfection Nick .. good OEM look. That extra inch on the rim with lowered suspension is spot on .. the offset on the rear is bang on...

When the car is loaded do you get any scrub or does camber work out just right?

Nick Mann
28-01-2013, 03:46 PM
Nope, no scrub yet at all, either on the 7's or on the 9's. I have only got scrub once on evo wheels, and it was evo 7's with 235/45/17 Falken FK451. That was about 2005!!

Thanks for the compliment, Derek!
