Gearbox on the floor, to gearbox located and secured with two bolts on the engine in the engine bay - 10 minutes, unassisted. :D

I now have 2 hours of my life back, which had previously been earmarked "Straining, cursing and throwing stuff around like a baby". Get in!! :D

A bit dampened though, when I realised I no longer have the little pushrod that pokes out of the boot on the slave cylinder. Bugger. Time to get creative...

so is this the carbon clutch fitted now, and did you get a flywheel for it as well?

Yup - carbon clutch in. Had a bit of a "fix the diff that appears to be eating itself" detour, so took the opportunity to replace the input seal (because I had to split the box) and the seal on the output to the NSF driveshaft (as that's where the nastiness happened).

Just doing the countless tasks to get it all back together, and being frustrated by the fact that all my engine mounts are a fraction out. Serves me right for driving in to things....
