In summary, the offset is less, which is still compatible with the VR-4. PCD is the same.

Evo wheels are 17"x8", +38 offset. VR-4 wheels are 16"x6½" (or 16"x6" for earlier VR-4s), +46 offset. Both are 5-stud, 114.3mm PCD. Evo wheels will fit, but will "stick out" more. If you need 18s, anything between +46 and about +35 offset will be OK, although the lower the offset number, the more the wheel will stick out and maybe more than you'd want. Just make sure you have the correct stud pattern.
