Had a scrape on one of those stupid things for the second time the other week, usually they're not a big problem but in this case there were two of them at right angles to each other at an intersection. When I went at an angle on the first one I ended up going over the second one almost length ways, got home and had a look underneath to find.....

...sigh, so I got under the car on the weekend and took it off.

For sale, Cusco underbrace - as new, minor scratch hahaha

Rough, its like those rubber black and white ones, going over one at the entrance of Countdown in Botany, heard a crack as I went over it and it broke the side skirt :(

Managed to kinda fix it though

look on the bright side, it proobably saved your exhaust from getting trashed, i know that is no comfort, but i know what i would rather get broken.

maybe an aluminum skid plate on the bottom of the car would be good.

Speed bumps are the main reason I decided to bring the car back up to standard height - the downpipes, sump and crossmember were getting trashed.

Although - when I have a boot load or rear passengers I find the car scrapes anyway, as the exhaust sits quite low...

Just one of the hazards of having a lowered car I guess. Hadnt thought about fixing it, might be a good idea to try though! The other thing that annoys me are those blocks that stop you parking too far forward in car parks, my car is fine going forward over it but the inside lip catches when I reverse and will pull the whole bumper off if Im not careful.

Ohhh yeah those blocks are a pain, they rip my bumper off even at standard height. The bodykit that's going on will have distance sensors installed so I stop before I hit the blocks.

The sides of my bumper are cable tied on for this reason.
I prefer to have the cable ties break, than to get my bumper plastic wielded and repaired once a year!

My bumper is currently held on by cable ties and the metal support :P fiance keeps catching it on kerbs and the wheel alignment place has a knack for managing to rip it off on their machine when taking the car off.

Is there no electronic height adjustable suspension mods that we can find to fit our mitsys, without contradicting the handling? :/

Finally found a mate who could have a go at welding it up, looks not too bad with a quick spray of paint. I'll get around to fitting it again one of these days......
