Whats the diameter and height you need Barry? My father-in-law used to own/run a restaurant and has recently closed up. I might be able to ask if he wants to sell a pot or two if needed. And he was based in Manchester so might work out if he does want to sell.

Many Asian shops will also sell pots and pans. Try some of the local shops in Rusholme or along the Curry Mile.

Had to edit my post as the above 'pots / pans' ended up being /pan

I was hoping for hand me downs, donation to the photography pot (no pun intended) however, Atik, please do ask if you can.

Diameter, well, it needs to be biggish, say about 50/60 cm diameter, about maybe about 40/50 high?

Cheers!

Pots like these are highly coveted in Asian families. I know my mum would never give up her ones so it may be tough to find a free hand-me-down. Best bet is to pay a few quid to get one from old restaurant stock or just buy new for about £25-30. If its not for cooking purposes, you could buy a budget one.

There is a science to buying these pots by the way! My mum spent years looking for the right pots! /lol

I've got 4 slightly smaller ones in at the moment 3 aluminium 30-35cms and one tin/zinc 36cms, none have lids, all are "antique" and all are £24 each
