I plan to get a new jack in the next couple of weeks. Going for a Clarke CTJ2GLC (google it).

It is 2 tonne rated with height 150mm to 820mm.

Machinemart want around £219 with VAT and delivery. I am hoping to do them for about £185.

Anyone else interested ?

have you considered arcan jacks the low fronted type for lowered cars.

you can get them in costco 3 ton steel jack for about £100, or the ally jack 2 ton for about £85 but they are not on the web site at the moment, but they usually come round every so often.
i will check instore the next time i am in there.

Costco Chingford had them last weekend (Arcan alloy), very nice too, stock item as they always seem to have them, most likely in all stores, but ring first to check if worried.

only sometimes on offer though £85 inc vat but when not on offer about £85 plus vat.

i have one of the 2 ton ally ones and have been useing it for that last 4 years or so 3 pumps and it is at full height without load on it.
